Chicago

During a visit to Chicago I found out about a language transfer phenomenon. Some of Chicago Polonia speak Poglish - a fusion of the "Polish" and "English languages. Instead of saying
"A cop gave me a ticket on the highway," a Polonian might say "Kapy daly mi tiketa na hajleju."

(Unfortunately I didn't get to see Polish neighborhood in Chicago, my stay was too short and weather was bad..)
