Letter from India

"Maja, Bangalore has become such a crowded city! I live in an exotic locale, by western standards. An elephant roams the streets once in a while and stops by the public water tap to quench its thirst. Then the whole traffic comes to a standstill and provides a spectacle for everyone. There are many cows and dogs everywhere and it requires all my gymnastic skills to go through the narrow streets without stepping on cowshit or getting brushed by their wagging tails. One day I saw a new-born calf and a very young puppy happily playing together! You could have had a ball of a time with your camera. Naveen"
